Alexandria Trading and Industry Company is an extension and continuation of
the journey of fathers and grandfathers, which began in 1928 in the same
activity and specialization, which is the equipment of buses, minibusses,
ambulances, mobile clinics, blood donation, medical waste transport vehicles,
service vehicles, traffic cranes, fire trucks, explosive detection, and gas water
transport vehicles.
The grandfather began in 1928 in the equipment, repair, and maintenance of
cars under the name of the first founder / Mohamed El-Habeshi Salama. During
World War II in 1938 and the closure of the country, Mohamed El-Habashi
(grandfather) met the needs of the country for passenger cars (buses) –
manufacturing transport boxes – equipping and repairing the cars transporting
soldiers of the Egyptian army, which was present at that time in the
governorate of Matrouh.
In the 1950s, a car body factory was established in Alexandria and specialized
in the production of buses on chassis (Ford – Chevrolet). When the economic
boycott occurred and the chassis required to equip them with buses was not
available, the chassis of transport cars were used and converted into buses.
Ambulance cars were also equipped on cars (Ford – Chevrolet – Skoda – Ford
Console – Ford Zephyr). In 1970, the Alexandria Car Body Factory was
established by the sons: Mustafa, Medhat, Mahdi, and Mukhtar.
